Yes. Becoming a group member is a requirement. This is how we are able to track and keep an accurate headcount for each event and how we contact you to keep you informed. By subscribing to our mailing list, signing up for an event, or becoming a member, you agree to receive regular updates, announcements, and other relevant information from us. We respect your privacy and want to make sure you understand and agree to a few privacy things. Personal Information: We collect your name, email address, and any other contact information you provide in our registration form solely for the purpose of communicating our homeschool events and field trips. Data Use: We will not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your details will be used exclusively for sending you updates about our activities or if you sign up for any events and field trips. Unsubscribe: You have the right to opt-out of our mailing list at any time. You can do this by clicking on the 'unsubscribe' link in any of our emails. You can also leave our Private Facebook Group at any time as well. Click HERE to register and become a part of our tribe today!

Nope! We are volunteering our own time and money for now in hopes to create a positive and amazing atmosphere and community for our homeschool tribe. However, select field trips and events may require a fee or ticket purchase in order to participate and attend.

This depends on the event or field trip itself. Majority of our trips do require a purchased ticket. All ticketed events are non-refundable so we do ask that you only submit a payment if you are certain you're able to attend as no exceptions are made. Tickets are transferrable on a case by case basis though. We do partner with PayPal and Zeffy for any ticketed events requiring a fee. Our group is not responsible for paying platform or service fees associated with using those third parties. (Since we aim to keep memberships free and everything is ran by volunteers, any fees associated with an event or field trip is the responsibility of the group member themselves.) Don't worry! We do offer several free field trip and event options throughout the year though - such as our beach, park, library, and meet up events! Please Note: If a charge back is ever filed, you will be banned from the group permanently and your name will be listed on our public notice as this would be considered theft. Not only that, but you would be forcing our group members, group leader, or host of the event to pay for your tickets out of their own pocket which isn't fair to them. We have the right to refuse working with anyone at any time, with or with out notice. We also reserve the right to take any necessary legal action if needed or in the event of theft such as this as well. Our group works hard at what we do and we will not tolerate being used, abused, scammed, or taken advantage of. Thank you.

Yes. As stated in the previous question above: If anyone is caught stealing from our group or filing fraudulent chargebacks, they will be banned immediately. We do not tolerate theft or being taken advantage of. You will be banned from the group permanently and your name will be listed on our public notice as this would be considered theft. Not only that, but you would be forcing our group members, group leader, or host of the event to pay for your tickets out of their own pocket which isn't fair to them. We have the right to refuse working with anyone at any time, with or with out notice. We also reserve the right to take any necessary legal action if needed or in the event of theft such as this as well. Our group works hard at what we do and we will not tolerate being used, abused, scammed, or taken advantage of. Thank you. Additionally, if a parent or child is caught abusing another group member in any way, shape, or form, they may be banned and asked not to return as well. Thankfully, we've never had any issues with foul language or bad behaviors though! Please Note: If you are no longer interested in being a part of our group, you can unsubscribe from our emails and texts at anytime or remove yourself from our Facebook Group. No. We’re often asked if your kids have to be homeschooled in order to attend. While we DO welcome those outside of traditional Homeschool, this group was designed specifically for homeschool families. Please keep this in mind when signing up for events as some will require proof of HS to participate (such as your intent confirmation or HS ID cards). If homeschool proof is required, it will be outlined on the sign up form. If it's not required, non-homeschool families are more than welcome to attend or participate. (For the most part, we are hardly ever asked for proof.) The more the merrier!

All over Central Florida! The main location for several of our events will be held in Central FL region. Occasionally, we will plan trips outside of CFL; however, we try to keep them local for those who are unable to make long distance trips.

A release, waiver, and photo form is required to participate in ALL of our field trips and events. Since we cannot make any guarantees that you and your party won't be photographed or in the background of any photos taken by group members and uploaded, everyone who comes with you must sign the forms, even if they don't plan to participate in the event. We cannot take on any liabilities or risks associated with your participation. Please know that we do not mean to sound harsh or un-empathetic; however, if you are not comfortable using your legal name or signing the required forms, this may not be the group for you as we do not make any exceptions for security and safety purposes. We will also not put ourselves or group members at any legal risk, especially being we are volunteering our valuable time and hard earned OOP money to organize these trips and events for others. While everything is done by our Group Leader, CFLHSFE is a community of parents and guardians who have come together to find a sustainable solution for the challenges we are facing in these uncertain times. We recognize the significance of offering a secure and dependable learning environment for our homeschool families, and that is why we have established this exceptional community. Our primary objective is to provide the highest quality educational and social experiences while ensuring the safety and happiness of everyone involved. Each field trip or event is hosted by a group member and leader so it often varies. Central Florida Homeschool Group is ran by like minded parents and guardians. We are NOT a business although we are now recognized as a an official nonprofit organization. We are just a bunch of parents who came together to create a safe and organized community to enjoy.
